Maybe you've never questioned it.
Maybe this is simply what strength has always felt like.
I've been noticing this in my own body lately.
The difference between standing to meet the worldโฆ and standing as though I have to hold it up.
They look the same from the outside.
Both get things done.
Both show up, again and again, no matter what.
But they feel completely different on the inside.
No one chooses to become a person who braces. We become that person because, once upon a time, it helped us get through.
It just becomes normal โ "being responsible," "being the strong one." But it wasn't always true, and it doesn't have to keep being that way.
I wrote the whole story on the blog this week โ including what I've learned from my own body about the physical difference between bracing and real strength.
If this resonates, I'm creating ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐น for women who are ready to explore what real steadiness feels like โ not by doing more, but by learning how to stop bracing.
Because when your body no longer has to spend so much energy bracing, something else becomes possible.
Not perfection.
Not constant calm.
Just a little more space to breathe, to move, and to feel like yourself again.
If this resonated ๐๏ธ save it for the days when strength starts to feel like holding your breath.
