Also known as 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒛𝒛𝒐 𝑶𝒓𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒊-𝒅𝒆𝒍 𝑷𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒂̀ because it forms a single structure with the 13th-century Palazzo del Podestà (recognizable by its large pointed brick arch), it features an imposing 1515 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹, a truncated 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿, and a suspended 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘇𝘇𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶; it was once the home of the 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗢𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶. Leading a transdisciplinary project in Uganda, her work addresses the colonial legacy of stigmatization (dating back to the 1950s Witchcraft Act) that marginalized traditional healers. Through innovative 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 like 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀, her research group successfully reframes 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 as a legitimate system, promoting its structured integration into contemporary healthcare.

His study evaluates 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝘀 (Humulus lupulus) extracts using genome-wide sequencing, identifying new molecular actors like clock genes, and offers key insights into the mechanism of 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗮 (Withania somnifera).
