I remember saying this long before I became a doula. Long before birth work. Long before I understood nervous systems, attachment, or generational patterns.
But even as a child, I felt it.
I grew up in a home where love did not feel connected, or emotionally secure.
My parents stayed together, but the relationship carried pain, disconnection, and unresolved wounds that silently shaped the atmosphere of the home.
Children always feel what remains unspoken.
And somewhere deep inside me, a knowing was born:
bringing a child into the world is not only a physical act — it is an emotional inheritance.
For years, I thought my work was “just” about pregnancy and birth.
But now, all the pieces are falling together.
The women who fear becoming their mothers.
The couples who suddenly feel disconnected during pregnancy.
The partners who freeze in the birth room.
The fear of hospitals, authority, or losing control.
So often, pregnancy doesn’t create these patterns.
It reveals them.
And this is exactly why I created The M. Sanctuary.
Not to help people become perfect parents.
Not to “heal everything” before having children.
But to help couples become conscious of what they carry — so they can enter birth, partnership, and parenthood with more awareness, calm, and connection than they themselves may have received.
Because children do not only need prepared nurseries.
They need emotionally safe homes.
And the beautiful thing is:
patterns can change.
One conscious couple at a time.
If pregnancy or the transition into parenthood has activated old emotional patterns for you, you are not alone.
This work is at the heart of what I now guide couples through inside The M. Sanctuary.
