Recently, volunteers from the SOL Group spent a week at Spiaggia dei Valori of Insieme a te association, helping people with severe disabilities safely enjoy a normal summer day by the sea.
For us, being close to patients means more than delivering care at home. It means being there where life happens — supporting their everyday lives, their independence and their moments of joy.
We spoke with one of our colleagues who took part in the initiative. In our latest interview, they share what it meant to meet the same people they usually assist in their homes, this time under the sun, with their feet in the sand and a smile on their faces.
