Coming to Portugal this winter? Here’s how I’d spend it, from someone who lives here. ✨
Tavira in November is one of my favorites: quiet, easy and still beautiful. The perfect spot to explore the Algarve without the crowds. And the green hills around Sintra are worth the trip without the summer lines.
As the weather gets cooler, it’s the perfect time to explore another side of Lisbon. The city’s art galleries and museums have so much going on right now, and the contemporary art scene is really stepping up its game.Plan for long lunches, pastries and a warm bowl of soup.
Where I’d stay: Palácio de Tavira an 18th-century palace turned boutique hotel in the heart of town, and Penha Longa Resort in the hills of Sintra.
