I was the lead surgeon for the Bicol Mission. The man in dark blue scrubs is the ONLY plastic surgeon in Nepal.He is surrounded by young surgeons in training from all over Nepal. I am surrounded by students and residents from FAU. I had the honor of performing a live surgery for them. I carried breast tissue expanders and silicone breast implants in my luggage so that I could teach the Nepalese surgeons how to reconstruct a young burn victim with an asymmetrical, underdeveloped breast. That was July 8th 2017 Kathmandu, Nepal. We did a lot of good work.
