One of the gifts of getting older is perspective.

If I could go back to my mid 30s, I wouldn’t change my ambition or drive. But I would spend less time worrying about the future and more time being present.

I would prioritize the things that truly move the needle for long term health: restorative sleep, regular exercise, good nutrition, meaningful relationships, and time to recharge.

When we’re younger, it’s easy to believe that success comes from constantly pushing forward. What I’ve learned is that longevity isn’t just about adding years to your life. It’s about creating a life that’s worth being present for.

Another year older. Another year grateful. 🙏

What’s one thing you would tell your younger self?

🙏🏼 For everyone who’s new here, welcome.

I’m grateful to have you as part of this growing community.

My path into medicine has been shaped by many places, many experiences, and a deep belief that health is never just one thing. It’s science, prevention, lifestyle, mindset, and understanding how all of these pieces work together.

That is the perspective I hope to bring to this page.

There is so much health information online, and not all of it is accurate, complete, or safe to follow. My hope is for this page to be a place where you can come for real medical perspective, whether that means validating something you’ve already heard, adding context to a trending topic, or helping you understand what the science actually says.

I encourage you to ask questions in the comments or send them through DMs. I’m always reading what you share, and it helps me understand which topics you want to learn more about.

So you can feel more informed, empowered, and more confident in the way you care for your health.

Thank you for following along. I’m excited for what we’re building here.

Happy Mother’s Day to my incredible mom, my sisters, and every mom reading this today.

Wishing you a beautiful day surrounded by the people who love you most.

Gen Z is calling it “Nonna-maxxing.”
Longevity researchers call it common sense.
The trend is simple: cook like your grandmother. Whole ingredients, no shortcuts, meals made from scratch.
What’s interesting is that this isn’t nostalgia. It’s actually what the science has supported for years.

The longest-lived populations on earth eat traditional whole-food diets. Not because of any single superfood , because of the pattern. Real food, consistently. Minimal processing. Meals shared with people you care about.
Modern nutrition has gotten complicated. But the foundation never really changed.

If you’re looking for a place to start with your health, this is a pretty good one….

Save this if it resonates. Share it with someone who needs a simpler approach to eating well and living fully

As an integrative physician, I’m often asked how to optimize health and longevity.
In reality, it rarely comes down to a single intervention.
It’s built through patterns that support how the body functions day to day, how it produces energy, adapts to stress, and maintains resilience over time.

Often, the most impactful habits are also the most overlooked. Prioritizing time with the people who matter, creating moments of stillness, and staying connected to what’s meaningful.

That’s where health becomes sustainable.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s consistency over time.

On National Doctor’s Day, a reminder that better care starts with seeing the full picture.
Health isn’t one dimensional.
It’s physical.
It’s emotional.
And it’s the connection between the two.
The best medicine doesn’t separate them
It brings them together.

Grateful for the physicians
who continue to push medicine forward
at a time of extraordinary progress in science

Aging does not look the same for everyone.
Some adults in their 80s maintain memory and cognitive performance similar to people decades younger.
Imagine staying mentally vibrant as you age. What’s their secret? Is it diet, exercise, social connections, or something else?
Researchers studying these individuals refer to them as SuperAgers.
Understanding what protects their brain function may help reshape how we think about aging and prevention.

Do you know someone who’s a SuperAger? Share your stories and insights! Let’s inspire each other to make lifestyle changes that support brain health.

🩸Most routine bloodwork is designed to catch disease after it develops. But many of the processes that lead to heart disease, metabolic dysfunction, and accelerated aging begin years, sometimes decades, earlier.

By the time cholesterol or glucose looks abnormal, the underlying biology has often been shifting for a long time. That is why a more complete look at bloodwork matters.

Certain markers can reveal early signals of:
• cardiovascular risk • metabolic dysfunction • chronic inflammation • nutrient deficiencies • genetic risk factors

The goal is not to chase numbers. It is to understand what your body may be quietly signaling long before symptoms appear. Better data leads to better decisions. And often earlier intervention. Save this list before your next labs so you know what to ask about. Educational information only.
