Recently, members of our Management Team and Thrive Team took part in Paediatric Diabetes Training, delivered by Specialist Paediatric Diabetes Nurse, Keertee Beejmohun.

Training like this helps our team build specialist knowledge and confidence, ensuring we're equipped to provide safe, personalised support to children and young people with diabetes.

At Island Home Care, we're committed to ongoing professional development, giving our team the skills they need to deliver the highest standard of person-centred care.

A recent visit to Elizabeth Castle was a wonderful opportunity to get out, enjoy some fresh air, and make the most of everything our beautiful island has to offer.

Sometimes, the best moments come from doing the things you love.

One of our carers recently took a client for an evening walk to Corbière, supporting them as they enjoyed one of their favourite hobbies – flying their drone while taking in Jersey's beautiful coastline.

At Island Home Care, we believe great care goes beyond practical support. It's about encouraging independence, nurturing hobbies and interests, and helping people continue enjoying the activities that bring purpose, confidence, and happiness.

Continuous learning is an important part of delivering exceptional care.

Recently, our new managers took part in a supervision training session with Dr Julie Luscombe from People Like Me Coaching, exploring how effective supervision can support both personal wellbeing and professional development.

The session encouraged reflective practice, open communication, and creating supportive environments where teams feel listened to, valued, and empowered to grow. By investing in our managers, we're strengthening the support available to our wider team and, ultimately, the quality of care we provide to our clients.
