It's but do you know what to do if your dog get stung? 🐝

Bees are vital to our planet but curious dogs sometimes get a little too close! Here’s what to know if your dog gets stung.

Most stings are mild, but location matters. Stings on the face or mouth can be more serious due to swelling that may affect breathing. Paw stings can be especially painful.

Know the emergency signs, seek urgent veterinary care if you notice:
• Difficulty breathing
• Collapse
• Vomiting
• Rapid or severe swelling
• Signs of intense pain

How you can help:
• If safe, check for a stinger and gently remove it (don’t squeeze!)
• Keep your dog calm and stop them licking or chewing the area
• Apply a cold compress if they tolerate it
• A bicarbonate of soda paste (with water) may help soothe

Reactions can happen straight away or hours later, monitor closely and contact your vet with any concerns.
