Volunteer Day at Val de La Mare Reservoir 🌿

We had an incredible morning last Friday, teaming up with Jersey Trees for Life at Val de La Mare Reservoir🌳 Our mission was to clear overgrown weeds and plenty of stinging nettles ( ouch! 🔥) and water the area, helping young fruit and nut trees get the space and care they need to thrive. These trees are part of the beautiful Chinese section of the reservoir 👍 It was definitely hard work, but laughter and teamwork gave us that amazing, rewarding feeling you get to help care for this growing area 🙌 🫶

Thanks for having us, and we can’t wait to help again soon!

Jersey Trees for Life are always in need of volunteers, so if you have a few hours or looking for a great team building activities as we did to be sure to check out their website:https://jerseytreesforlife.org/volunteering/

Final post in our Core Stability for Runners series — focusing on Pelvic Floor Activation & Running🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏽

Your pelvic floor plays an important role, but more isn’t always better. When it works well, it supports you on impact, coordinates with your core and glutes, and relaxes between steps. Constant bracing is where issues can start.

A well-trained pelvic floor should switch on and off automatically as you run. Start building that control with this exercise "Breathing with an elastic band & core activation on exhalation"

If there’s one takeaway from this series, it’s this 👉A strong core works at the right time, not all the time👍🏽

Save this series, revisit the exercises, and start applying these principles to your ru‍ns👟🎽👍🏽

In the final posts this week of our “Core Stability” series for runners, it’s important to remember that core control isn’t about holding everything tight. A strong core also needs to know how to relax and adapt, and be switched on when you need support and off when you don’t👍🏽

If the timing is off, it can lead to:
⚠️ Limit efficient breathing
⚠️ Wasted energy while running

The goal? Core relaxation and control exercises should be part of every runner’s routine, not just strengthening work😉

Check out this "Book Breathing" exercise to start training a smarter, more efficient core👉https://vimeo.com/showcase/12263833?share=copy&fl=sm&fe=fs

🌟New week, new momentum…and we’re continuing our Core Stability series this Monday🌟

Still doing crunches and hoping it improves your running? It’s time to think differently. Your core isn’t there just to be strong — it’s there to support every step you take.

Train the system, not just the muscles. Check out our recommended video👇
