Perimenopause and menopause can come with symptoms you expect… and some you might never connect to your hormones.

🔥 Hot flashes
💓 Palpitations
🌙 Night sweats
😴 Sleep difficulties
💪 Frozen shoulders

But what about itchy ears, unusual sensations on the skin, body tightness, or difficulty swallowing?

These lesser-known symptoms can be easy to dismiss or attribute to something else.

If you’re experiencing changes that don’t feel like “you,” it’s worth talking to a healthcare professional about what could be contributing.

Which symptom surprised you the most? 👇

OB GYN, but make it wellness. 🌿

Because women’s health is about more than treating a symptom when something goes wrong.

It’s about prevention.
It’s about understanding your body.
It’s about feeling informed, supported and cared for through every stage of life.

From routine examinations and screening to reproductive health, pregnancy, menopause care and everything in between — your care should be as individual as you are.

Your health is more than a checklist. It’s your whole wellbeing. 🤍

Welcome to a different way of thinking about OB GYN care.

Are s*x toys healthy? 👀

Short answer: yes!
When used safely, s*x toys can be a healthy part of s*xual wellness — and they can be especially helpful during perimenopause and menopause, when changes in hormones may affect arousal, comfort and va**nal health. ✨

They can help with pleasure, arousal, and getting to know your changing body.

Just remember: keep them clean, use the right lubricant, don’t share without proper protection, and listen to your body. 💕
Sexual wellness is health too.

Vaginal Estrogen 101 🌸

If menopause has brought on va**nal dryness, burning, irritation, painful s*x, urinary urgency or recurrent UTIs, you may be experiencing Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM).

And no — you don’t simply have to “live with it.”

Low-dose va**nal estrogen can help restore the health and function of the va**nal and vulval tissues and improve many of these symptoms.

It’s available in different forms, including va**nal creams, tablets/pessaries and va**nal rings.

Depending on the product, it can be applied inside the va**na and, when indicated, a small amount may also be used on the vulval tissues.

Vaginal estrogen is local treatment, with much less systemic absorption than systemic hormone therapy. But it is still a medication, and whether it’s appropriate for you depends on your individual medical history.

✨ Dryness is treatable.
✨ Pain with s*x is treatable.
✨ Menopause-related urinary
symptoms are treatable.

You deserve to feel comfortable in your body at every stage of life.

Save this post and share it with a woman who needs to hear it. 🤍

Your body often gives you clues before you realize something is missing. 💗

Fatigue, headaches, muscle cramps, poor sleep, weakness, or changes in how you feel can sometimes be linked to nutrient deficiencies — but these symptoms can have many causes.

In this carousel, we’re highlighting 4 nutrients women may need to pay attention to: iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin B12.

✨ The goal isn’t to self-diagnose — it’s to recognize the signs and know when it’s worth having a conversation with your doctor.

🌸 Healthy habits make for a healthier pregnancy.🤰🏽💕

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, but taking care of yourself along the way is just as important as preparing for your little one.

From attending your prenatal appointments and staying hydrated to nourishing your body, staying active safely, managing stress, and listening to your body — small, consistent habits can make a meaningful difference.

Remember, you don’t have to navigate pregnancy alone. 💗✨

As we celebrate another year of independence, I'm reminded that our story has never been defined by ease—it has been defined by courage.

From Emancipation to Independence, and through every milestone since, generations of Jamaicans have chosen resilience over defeat, hope over fear, and unity over division. Because of them, we inherited a nation rich in culture, talent, and an unbreakable spirit.

Every day in my practice, I see that same Jamaican spirit in the women and families I have the privilege of caring for. It lives in every mother who keeps going, every family that sacrifices for a better future, and every new baby who reminds us that tomorrow is full of possibility.

I am incredibly grateful to serve the country that shaped me.

Happy Independence Day, Jamaica. 🇯🇲

May we continue building a nation that our children will be proud to inherit.

Out of Many, One People. One Love. ❤️
