🌿 Yes, stretching, strengthening & mobilizing are great, but if your nervous system is stuck in stress mode, your body may resist healing.

🍃 When you slow your breathing, you signal your brain to shift out of fight-or-flight, into repair mode & teach your body that it’s safe to relax. That’s when muscles release more easily, pain sensitivity decreases, & your body becomes receptive to treatment.

🙇🏽 Try this 4-7-8 breathing for just 19 seconds:
Inhale for 4. Hold for 7. Exhale slowly for 8. Repeat this cycle 3-4 times.
