Our last video on IUDs surely got the conversation going with many for it & many speaking on the discomfort associated with insertion. In this video, Dr Sara goes more in depth on the pros & cons of having an IUD

Pros
1. One of the most effective forms of contraception - over 99% effective
2. ⁠User independent - set it and forget it
3. ⁠Immediately reversible - especially the non hormonal IUCD
4. ⁠Cost effective - one IUCD can last you up to 10 years.

Cons
1. Insertion discomfort - but there are ways to eliminate or ease the discomfort
2. ⁠It does not protect you from STIs
3. ⁠Risk of expulsion (your body rejecting it)

As Child’s Month comes to a close, we simply could not let May pass without celebrating the little ones who hold such a special place in our hearts. Every baby welcomed into the world through our doors has left an imprint on our lives that will last forever.
