“Common” doesn’t mean “normal.” 🩸

If you’re changing your pad/tampon every hour, doubling up just to leave the house, or bleeding past 7 days — your body is telling you something. Listen to it.

Heavy periods are one of the most under-reported symptoms in my clinic. Women normalize it because their mom did, their sister does, everyone around them does. But heavy bleeding can point to fibroids, polyps, thyroid issues, or clotting disorders — all very treatable once we actually talk about it.

📌 Save this so you have the checklist next time you’re wondering “is this normal?”
🔁 Share with a friend who always says “my period is just heavy, that’s normal for me”

Can too much s*x make your va**na “loose”? 👀

Let’s put this myth to bed once and for all. 🙅🏽‍♀️

And PLEASE leave the va**nal tightening creams alone. 😩

You’ve treated the “yeast infection” THREE times… and it’s back AGAIN?! 😩👀

Before you reach for another antifungal, here’s what I want you to know as a gynaecologist 👩🏽‍⚕️:

If the itching, irritation or discharge keeps returning, it’s time to confirm what you’re actually treating.

Because not every itch is yeast.
Not every discharge is yeast.
And repeatedly treating yourself without confirming the diagnosis can mean missing what’s really going on.

💗 Save this one — you may need it later.
👯‍♀️ Send it to the friend who keeps saying, “I think my yeast infection is back.”

And tell me 👇🏽

There’s almost nothing you can tell your gynaecologist that we haven’t heard before. 😂🩺

The awkward symptom. The STI scare. Pain during s*x. Leaking urine. Your s*xual history.

Please don’t let embarrassment stop you from telling us what’s really going on. The details you’re tempted to leave out may be the ones that help us figure out how best to help you. 💕

And trust me… what feels like a BIG confession to you might just be another Friday for your gynae. 😂

What’s something you’ve always been too embarrassed to ask your gynaecologist? 👀👇🏽 *xualhealth

“If I had an STI, I would know.” 👀

Not necessarily.

Some STIs can cause little to no symptoms, so feeling completely fine doesn’t always mean there’s nothing there.

That’s why screening matters — especially with a new partner, a possible exposure, or based on your individual risk. 🩺💕

No symptoms ≠ no infection.

BV has a LOT of myths attached to it… so let’s clear a few things up. 👀

Having bacterial vaginosis does not mean you’re dirty, and it doesn’t automatically mean you have an STI.

BV is common — and unfortunately, it can also come back. 😩

If you’re having recurrent symptoms, don’t keep assuming it’s BV and repeatedly self-treating. Get assessed and make sure you’re treating the right thing. 🩺

What’s something you’ve always wondered about BV? 👇🏽

Can your partner really throw off your va**nal pH? 👀

Yes — temporarily. And it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong.

Semen is more alkaline, while the va**na naturally maintains an acidic environment, so s*x can temporarily change that balance.

Usually, things return to normal on their own. But if you’re noticing persistent odour, unusual discharge, itching or irritation, it’s worth getting checked rather than repeatedly self-treating. 🩺

And no… a change in pH after s*x does not automatically mean an STI or cheating. 👀

Ladies, your va**na needs a lot less maintenance than think. 👀💸

You don’t need to detox it, perfume it, lighten it or tighten it.

Normal doesn’t need fixing. 🤎

Which one surprised you the most? And what should I add to Part 2? 👇🏽 **nalhealth

🥚✨ Trying to conceive? One of the most important things to know is whether you're actually ovulating.

The good news? There are a few simple ways you can track ovulation from the comfort of your home.

In this video, I discuss:✅ Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs)✅ Cervical mucus changes✅ Basal body temperature tracking

Remember, ovulation tracking isn't always straightforward. If your cycles are irregular, you're never getting a positive ovulation test, or you've been trying to conceive without success, it may be time to seek further evaluation.

Have you ever used ovulation strips? Let me know in the comments which method you've tried and whether it worked for you. 👇🏽
