Which word found you first? 👀

I saw POWER first.
Then FREEDOM.
Then INTELLIGENCE.

And now I'm wondering… does that say something about where I am right now? 🤔

Maybe it's just a word search.
Or maybe sometimes, the words we notice are the ones we're already carrying somewhere inside us.

So I'm curious — which words are calling out to you?

Tell me the first three you see.
I want to know what your eyes found.

🇯🇲 Happy Independence Day, Jamaica!

Today we celebrate the gift of freedom—but freedom is more than a date on the calendar or a flag flying proudly in the breeze.

True independence calls each of us to take responsibility for the kind of nation we are helping to build.

To the men of Jamaica: your greatest strength is not found in power, but in character. It is seen in how you lead, protect, provide, listen, encourage, and take responsibility for your family, your community, and your country.

Strong nations are built by people who choose integrity over convenience, service over self, and legacy over applause.

Today, may we celebrate not only where we've come from, but also who we are becoming.

Happy Independence Day, Jamaica. May we continue building a nation that future generations will be proud to call home. 💚🖤💛

This weekend, a few of us will head off into the hills of Trelawny. We are retreating... pulling back to look at our lives. See what is working what to discard, what to move or change and what to keep.

We will be writing a new story. Our Soul Story

SOUL SATURDAY | Emancipation Day 🇯🇲

"Freedom is not only something we inherit. It is something we choose, protect, and embody."

Today Jamaica pauses to remember those who refused to surrender their humanity.

High in the hills of Scott's Hall, St. Mary, the Windward Maroons built more than a settlement—they built a sanctuary. Generation after generation, they preserved African traditions, language, music, healing practices, and an unbreakable spirit of freedom. Their story reminds us that liberation is not simply escaping chains; it is refusing to let anyone define your worth.

History also reminds us that freedom is often complicated. During Tacky's Revolt of 1760, the Scott's Hall Maroons, bound by treaty with the British, fought against the uprising, and it was a Scott's Hall Maroon named Lieutenant Davy who killed Tacky. These difficult truths invite us to look beyond simple heroes and villains and instead understand the complex choices people made to survive in an oppressive system. ([Wikipedia][1])

As we honour Emancipation Day, may we ask ourselves:

✨ What chains am I still carrying?
✨ What inherited fears am I ready to release?
✨ What does freedom look like in my own life?

Perhaps your greatest act of emancipation today is forgiving yourself.
Speaking your truth.
Setting a boundary.
Beginning your healing.
Choosing yourself without apology.

The journey to freedom did not end in 1838.

It continues within each of us.

May we honour our ancestors not only by remembering their courage, but by living ours.

Happy Emancipation Day, Jamaica. 🇯🇲❤️💛💚

Here's another opportunity to say YES to yourself.

Maybe you're navigating the challenges of midlife—the fears, the betrayals, the grief, the loneliness, and the endless what-ifs.

Perhaps you've spent so many years caring for everyone else that somewhere along the way, you lost sight of yourself.

You look in the mirror and wonder,

"Where did I go?"

You haven't disappeared.

You've simply become buried beneath years of expectations, responsibilities, disappointments, and the belief that everyone else's needs mattered more than your own.

The Fire Years is an invitation to gently uncover the woman who has been there all along.

Not by becoming someone new.

But by remembering who you were before life taught you to settle, to shrink, or to silence your own voice.

If something inside you is whispering that it's time...

Listen.

Applications are now open for The Fire Years Retreat.

October 31 – November 2

Places are intentionally limited to create an intimate, supportive experience where every woman is seen, heard, and valued.

Perhaps this Fearless Friday is your invitation.

Take one brave step.

Say YES to yourself.
