إقفال الشرايين الركبية (G*E) هو إجراء طبي متخصص ومتطور يُستخدم لعلاج آلام الركبة المزمنة الناتجة عن خشونة المفاصل (الفصال العظمي).
يعتمد الإجراء على قسطرة دقيقة تُدخل عبر شريان صغير في الفخذ أو الرسغ، ثم يتم توجيهها إلى الشرايين الصغيرة المغذية لمفصل الركبة. يتم إغلاق الأوعية الدموية غير الطبيعية التي تساهم في الالتهاب والألم باستخدام مواد دقيقة جداً، مما يقلل التورم والالتهاب داخل المفصل ويخفف الألم تدريجياً.
الإجراء طفيف التوغل، لا يحتاج إلى جراحة مفتوحة، تحت بنج موضعي، ويستطيع معظم المرضى العودة إلى منازلهم في نفس اليوم.

Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E) is a specialized, minimally invasive procedure designed to treat chronic knee pain caused by osteoarthritis.
During the procedure, a thin catheter is inserted through a small artery (usually in the thigh or wrist) and guided to the tiny blood vessels that supply the knee joint. Abnormal vessels that fuel inflammation and pain are carefully blocked using microscopic particles. This reduces swelling and inflammation inside the joint, leading to gradual and lasting pain relief.
G*E does not require open surgery, is done under local anesthesia, and most patients go home the same day with a relatively quick recovery.
In this video, the patient shares her outcome: she reports no further pain and significant improvement in knee flexibility and overall function, allowing her to return to daily activities with greater ease (patient consent obtained prior to taping and uploading the video).
