Are you someone who naturally "runs hot"—both physically and mentally?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we look at our bodies through different elemental constitutions. Today, we’re looking at the Fire Type.
Fire types are naturally magnetic, driven, and passionate. But because that inner flame burns so bright, it’s incredibly easy to experience "excess heat." When your system gets overheated, it doesn't just show up as feeling warm—it often manifests as restless sleep, irritability, temporary digestive discomfort, or minor skin breakouts.
Restoring balance isn't about fighting the fire; it's about replenishing the water. In TCM, this is called nurturing your Yin to keep that active Yang in check.
Here are a few gentle, everyday habits to help your system find its calm:
Focus on naturally sweet & hydrating foods: Honey, soy milk, and white wood ear fungus are traditional favorites for cooling the body's internal environment.
Incorporate summer veggies: Cucumbers and tomatoes act like natural coolants for your system. 🥒🍅
Limit the triggers: Try to ease up on coffee, alcohol, and spicy foods, which can easily overstimulate your nervous system.
Cool down your nights: Aim to wind down and turn off screens before 11 PM. Letting your mind rest early is crucial for keeping a fiery constitution balanced and grounded.
Sometimes, a few simple dietary swaps and a mindful evening routine are all it takes to bring your energy back to a beautiful, steady glow. ✨
