2000年の4月の開業以来たくさんの皆様方に支えられ、おかげさまで今日まで治療を続けてくることができました。

帰来堂は『冷えとり健康法』の治療院です。
『冷えとり健康法』とは進藤義晴先生の提唱する生活療法です。

この映画は、監督の統合失調症を患っている姉を巡る家族の様子を撮ったドキュメンタリーですが、テーマは統合失調症ではなく、家族だと思います。家族というのは社会に対するものとして、社会から守ってくれるものとなりますが、社会から隔絶された場ともなります。

映画｢どうすればよかったか｣を今池のミニシアター、ナゴヤキネマノイで観てきました。
監督自身の姉に統合失調症の症状が現れたにも関わらず、両親が精神科の受診から遠ざけた、そんな自身の家族の姿を20年にわたって記録したドキュメンタリー映画です。
こんな重いテーマにも関わらず、全国のミニシアターで大ヒットしているそうで、私が観た時も通路に補助椅子、床に座椅子も出して、満席でした。
"I watched the movie 'What Could Have Been Done' at a mini theater in Imaike, Nagoya Kinema Neu.
Despite the fact that the director's own sister showed symptoms of schizophrenia, their parents kept her away from psychiatric treatment. This documentary film records the family's situation over a span of 20 years.
Despite such a heavy theme, it seems to be a big hit in mini theaters across the country, and when I watched it, there were extra chairs in the aisles and floor seating, making it a full house."

1月30日は二十四節気の「大寒」の末候で、暦の七十二候の最後の候「鶏始乳（にわとりはじめてとやにつく）」です。
春を感じた鶏が小屋に入って卵を産み始める時期だそうです。
中国の七十七候は｢水沢腹堅（沢に氷が厚く張りつめる）｣で、日本より寒さの厳しさを感じさせます。
卵はスーパーで年中帰るのが当たり前になっていますが、昔は冬の間は手に入らない貴重品だったのですね。
"January 30th is the last phase of the twenty-four solar terms, known as 'Daikan,' and it corresponds to the final phase of the seventy-two seasons in the calendar, 'Niwatori Hajimete Toya ni Tsuku' (the chicken begins to lay eggs). It is said to be the time when chickens, feeling the arrival of spring, enter their coop and start laying eggs. The Chinese seventy-seven seasons refer to 'Shuisuo Fukan' (the ice thickens on the marsh), which suggests a harsher cold than in Japan.
While it has become common to buy eggs at the supermarket year-round, they were once a precious commodity that could not be obtained during the winter."

鍼灸医学では生命力のようなものを指して｢精｣と名付けています。
生まれた時に両親から精を受け継いで、それは｢先天の精｣と言われ、腎に貯蔵されます。腎は五臓の中で陰中の陰の臓であり、大切な生命の源である精をしっかりと貯めこんで漏らしません。
生命活動の中で精は減っていくので、それを補うのが｢後天の精｣と呼ばれるもので、飲食物からの栄養｢水榖の精微｣から供給されます。

"In acupuncture and moxibustion medicine, something like life force is referred to as '精（essence ）.' It is inherited from parents at birth and is called '先天の精（congenital essence）,' which is stored in the kidneys. The kidneys are the yin of the five organs and securely store the essence, which is an important source of life, without leaking it. As life activities progress, the essence decreases, so what replenishes it is called '後天の精（acquired essence）,' which is supplied from the nutrients in food and drink, known as '水榖の精微（the subtle essence of water and grains）.'"

漢字の世界、中国思想においては、細かいもの、小さいものに神が宿るという考えがあるように思います。人間の目で判別できないような小さなものの中に物事の本質があり、さらに人間の能力を越えたもの、人智を超えた生命の神秘があるみたいな感じでしょうか。
｢精｣は｢よごれなく精白された米｣という字ですが、｢米＝小さい｣から｢精霊｣｢精神｣のような言葉ができています。
他にも｢妙｣は｢女＋少｣で｢女性の小柄で細く、なんとなく美しい姿｣を示す字ですが（漢和大字典）、そこから｢玄妙｣｢絶妙｣のような言葉ができています。

"In the world of kanji, it seems that in Chinese thought, there is a belief that gods reside in small and fine things. The essence of things lies in tiny things that cannot be discerned by the human eye, and there seems to be a mystery of life that transcends human abilities and intelligence.
The character '精' means 'pure white rice that is untainted,' and since '米' means 'small,' words like 'spirit' (精霊) and 'mind' (精神) are derived from it.
Additionally, '妙' is composed of 'woman' (女) and 'few' (少), indicating a 'small, slender, and somewhat beautiful figure of a woman' (according to the Kan-Wa Daijiten), and from there, words like 'mysterious' (玄妙) and 'exquisite' (絶妙) are formed."

｢米｣という字は｢八十八｣と書きます。
それは｢お米ができるまでには88回もの手間がかかるから｣と教えられました。実際の稲作の工程がどうこうということではなく、私たちの生命を育んでくれる米が私たちの元に届くまでには数多くの働きがなされているのだということでしょう。そうした働きに感謝する気持ちは大切ですね。
漢字の世界では｢米｣は米粒の象形で、｢小さい｣｢こまかい｣という意味です。｢迷｣（こまかくてみえない）、｢粉｣（こまかくくだかれたこな）のような形です。

"The character for '米' is written as '八十八（eighty-eight）.' I was taught that this is because it takes 88 steps to grow rice. It's not about the actual process of rice cultivation, but rather that a lot of work goes into bringing the rice that nurtures our lives to us. It's important to have a sense of gratitude for such efforts.
In the world of kanji, 'rice' is a pictogram of a grain of rice, meaning 'small' or 'fine.' It resembles characters like '迷' (which means 'so fine that it cannot be seen') and '粉' (which means 'finely crushed powder')."

｢精｣という字には色々な意味があります。
東洋思想、東洋医学においても重要な概念を表しています。
普通、｢精｣というと｢まじりけのないエキス｣という意味がありますね。｢精髄｣｢酒精｣みたいな。
それから｢精神｣、これは人間のエキス。
｢精霊｣、山川に潜む神。
他にも｢精力｣や｢精巧｣などがあります。
｢精｣は｢米｣＋｢青｣で、｢よごれなく精白した米｣を表す字です。（漢和大字典）
元々、澄みきった純粋さを表す｢青｣をさらに精白したエキスを表しているのでしょう。

"The character '精' has various meanings. It represents an important concept in the Oriental philosophy and the Oriental medicine as well. Generally, '精' refers to 'pure extract' or 'unmixed essence.' For example, '精髄' (essence) and '酒精' (alcohol). Then there is '精神' (spirit), which is the essence of a human being. '精霊' (spirit) refers to the gods that dwell in mountains and rivers. There are also terms like '精力' (vitality) and '精巧' (exquisite). The character '精' is composed of '米' (rice) and '青' (blue/green), representing 'rice that has been thoroughly polished and purified.' (Kan-Wa Daijiten) Originally, it likely represents an extract that has been further refined from the clear purity represented by '青.'”

1月25日からは七十二候が大寒の次候｢水沢腹堅｣となります。沢の水も凍るほど寒い時期という意味だそうです。
中国の七十二候では｢鷙鳥厲疾｣で、鷲・鷹などが空高く速く飛び始める時期となるようです。

From January 25th, the seventy-two seasons will enter the second phase of Daikan, called "Mizusawafukaken." It means a time when the water in the streams is so cold that it freezes. In the Chinese seventy-two seasons, it is "Zhìniǎolìjì," which indicates the time when eagles and hawks begin to fly high and fast in the sky.
