An online nature therapy, somatic movement experiential workshop this morning where each participant explored their lived
in space through the lens of relationships with body, place and nature. Our ending reflection ritual unfolded with each participants reflection embodied in a sprig of rosemary gathered with a sunflower representing summer and tethered into a posy which was left as a gift to the land and forest.

Thank you to every beautiful soul who attended and to their habitat and land that contributed to the experience. ❤️🫶✨🌲

Join Michelle for a specially facilitated, FREE online gathering of shifting our pace to slow time where we will discover slow movement, slow exploration, and slow expression with nature as our inspiration.

Let’s face it, it’s hot out there and in the midst of the summer heat weather may have us quite limited in our ability to get outside and commune with the natural world causing us to feel trapped and isolated. Slowing down our pacing and connecting with ourselves and nature has shown to reduce anxiety and depression, increase mood, and spark motivation.

This online session will be experiential in nature with the invitation to explore your lived space as a living and breathing container. Session will end with an online virtual tea and time to connect with each other.

This session is offered in kind and is free to those who come with openness and curiosity. Pre-registration required.

Michelle Pietrzak-Wegner is a long-time mindfulness/somatic movement facilitator, certified Nature & Forest Therapy guide, and internationally certified yoga therapist who specializes in guiding people to slow down, connect with their body, and commune with nature.

Today is Yama no Hi (山の日), Mountain Day, here in Japan where we honor the over 16,000 named mountains in this island nation. Each mountain spirited with her own god and contributing to the landscape in her own unique way. I was lucky to snap this photo of Japan’s tallest peak, the honorable Fuji-San on a flight to Kumamoto in 2025. ❤️🏔️

He was very photogenic. ✨ I would never have seen him if I hadn’t been in a slow stroll through the forest. And when we caught each other’s eye, my slow pace allowed him to stay and not buzz off too quickly. I’m always amazed at what, and who, emerges when I move through forest and green space without any hurry or urgency. ❤️

Pen to paper, pencil to paper, crayon to paper. Scribble, doodle, scratch, hatch, no matter what the mark… it’s YOURS and no one else’s. Come explore what it means to make your mark with Mark-Making as Mindful Practice. The slow, intentional act of making your own patterns and lines holds healing qualities that helps reduce stress, promotes calm, and regulates emotions.

This once monthly community workshop will explore a variety of easily obtainable materials. For our first session we’ll experiment with pen, pencil and inks on paper with nature as our inspirational backdrop. This session is designed for the person with curiosity and an openness to play. We’ll set aside our expectations and tendencies towards perfection and explore what that day brings us.

Friday, August 14, 10-11:30am
Online via Zoom

Be sure to register by midnight Wed, Aug 12.
