Today, we had the privilege of welcoming visitors from Machakos County. Madam Rosemary, through her friend Joyce, reached out to our office seeking assistance with a wheelchair for a child in need. We are grateful that, through the Let's Support Persons with Disabilities CBO office in Kajiado, we were able to provide a wheelchair to Grace Waeni.
The family was overjoyed to receive this life-changing support. Moments like these remind us of the importance of standing together to support persons with disabilities in our communities.
We kindly appeal to anyone willing to support our work. Any donation, big or small, will help us continue reaching more children and families in need. Thank you for being part of this journey of hope and inclusion. ❤️♿

PRESS STATEMENT
Date: 27 June 2026
Let's Support Persons with Disabilities Organization (LSPWD) expresses deep concern over the alleged assault and mistreatment of James Mbugua, a person with a disability, during an incident reported to have occurred on 25 June 2026.
We call upon the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), the National Police Service (NPS), the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), and all relevant authorities to conduct a prompt, independent, and transparent investigation into the incident.
Persons with disabilities must be treated with dignity, respect, and equality, as guaranteed by the Constitution of Kenya and the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025.
We urge the authorities to ensure that justice is served without unnecessary delay, and that anyone found responsible after due process is held accountable in accordance with the law.
Justice for James Mbugua. Justice for Persons with Disabilities.

🎉 Kenya Sign Language Bill Passed! 🇰🇪🤟
This is a historic milestone for the Deaf community and all persons with disabilities in Kenya. The passing of the Kenya Sign Language Bill is a major step toward equality, inclusion, accessibility, and the recognition of Kenyan Sign Language.
Let us continue working together to ensure the full implementation of this law so that no one is left behind.
Congratulations to the Deaf community, disability rights advocates, and everyone who contributed to this achievement.

Thank you very much, Mobilizer Wycliff, for the excellent work and dedication in mobilizing participants and supporting the success of today's training at AIC Childcare Center, Kajiado County. Your commitment to promoting inclusion, accessibility, and opportunities for persons with disabilities is highly appreciated.
Today, we participated in a training session at AIC Childcare Center, Kajiado County, on how persons with disabilities can be involved in Kenya’s tourism sector. The training highlighted various employment, entrepreneurship, and participation opportunities available to persons with disabilities, as well as the importance of accessibility and inclusive environments, services, and infrastructure within the tourism industry.
We sincerely appreciate Next Step Foundation, in partnership with ForumCiv, for organizing this important training. The session enhanced our understanding, promoted inclusion, and encouraged stakeholders to create more opportunities for persons with disabilities in the tourism sector.
Thank you for your commitment to advancing accessibility, inclusion, and the empowerment of persons with disabilities in Kajiado County and across Kenya.

Happy Father's Day! 💙
Today we celebrate all fathers, including fathers with disabilities, who continue to provide love, guidance, care, and support to their families every day.
Your disability does not define your ability to be a great father. Your strength, dedication, resilience, and commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of your children and community.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers with disabilities. Thank you for your love, leadership, and the important role you play in building strong families and a better society.
"Ability is not limited by disability. A father's love knows no barriers." 👨‍👧‍👦💙
