TO H.E. the President During His Visit to Kericho County
Your Excellency, the President of the Republic of Kenya,
On behalf of the people of Kericho County, I warmly welcome you to our county. We appreciate your visit and your commitment to engaging directly with wananchi.
Your Excellency, we kindly request that development reaches the ordinary citizen at the grassroots level. The people of Kericho are hardworking, but many still face challenges that require urgent attention.
Our key priorities are:
- Employment opportunities for our youth through empowerment programs and support for entrepreneurship.
- Better roads connecting villages to markets and essential services.
- Affordable healthcare and well-equipped health facilities across the county.
- Improved access to clean water for homes and farming.
- Support for farmers, especially tea, dairy, and small-scale farmers, through fair prices, affordable farm inputs, and reliable markets.
- Financial support for bodaboda operators, mama mboga, small traders, and other informal businesses to help them grow.
- Expansion of technical training and skills development centres for young people.
- Timely completion of government development projects in every ward and SECURITY MATTERS 👏
Your Excellency, we respectfully ask that your visit remains focused on listening to the voices of ordinary citizens and ensuring that as much time as possible is dedicated to engaging with the people rather than lengthy speeches by leaders. The wananchi have valuable ideas, challenges, and solutions that deserve to be heard directly.
We believe that when development starts at the grassroots, the entire nation prospers.
