Earlier today, we kicked off Afya Apex HMIS training for our implementation champions, who will lead us into a fully paperless future.

These champions, drawn from various units, are at the heart of our digital transformation journey. Their energy and dedication will ensure patients experience smoother registration, faster service delivery, and more accurate, coordinated care.

On 2nd June 2026, we officially onboarded the Afya Apex HMIS, following Kenyatta National Hospital’s lead on 15th April 2026. This milestone positions us for exciting innovations, including telemedicine and data-driven improvements in healthcare delivery over the next five years and beyond.

We warmly welcome digital transformation at Prime Care Centre as a key step in strengthening service delivery and enhancing patient care, in line with our Strategic Plan 2026-2030.

This week's takes us back to August 2021, when Prime Care Centre expanded its services with the launch of the Doctors' Plaza Pharmacy.

Since then, the pharmacy has played a key role in enhancing access to quality pharmaceutical care, affordable medications & professional dispensing services for both internal and external clients, ensuring patients receive the right prescriptions at the right time.

Four years later, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services and improving access to quality pharmaceutical care for all.

A Major Milestone for Public Officers and Their Dependants

Prime Care Centre joins Kenyatta National Hospital in welcoming the successful signing of the Public Officers Medical Scheme Fund (POMSF) tariffs and the launch of the SHA Biometric Registration Exercise for dependants aged 7–17 years.

As a leading provider of healthcare services to public officers and their families, Prime Care Centre is encouraged by these reforms, which will strengthen access to quality healthcare, enhance patient identification, and support a more seamless healthcare experience.

Prime Care Centre remains committed to supporting Universal Health Coverage and delivering patient-centred, quality healthcare services to public officers, their dependants, and all our clients.

Together, we are advancing healthcare reform and building a healthier future for all.

Conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol & kidney disease often show little or no warning signs in their early stages. That's why regular wellness check-ups are so important.

At Prime Care Centre, we're here to help you understand your health status, identify potential risks early & take proactive steps towards a healthier future.

Recovery is often strengthened by the support & encouragement of others.

Today, the eight students from Utumishi Girls Academy, Gilgil, who are continuing their treatment and recovery journey at Prime Care Centre, were visited by members of the Senate Health Committee, including Sen. Tabitha Mutinda, CBS, Sen. Hamida Kibwana and Sen. Mariam Omar.

Accompanied by Prime Care Centre Senior Director Dr. John Ngigi, OGW and Assistant Chief Nurse Ms. Simoneta Francis, the Senators spent time with the students & their families, offering words of encouragement and reminding them that they are not alone on their journey to recovery.

To brighten their day, the delegation presented the students with flowers, get-well-soon cards & baskets of fruit, small gestures that brought smiles and carried a powerful message of hope, care & solidarity.

At Prime Care Centre, we remain committed to walking alongside our patients and their families every step of the way, providing compassionate, patient-centred care on the road to recovery.
