SHA SERVICES AVAILABLE AT AHERO COUNTY HOSPITAL...
Social Health Authority (SHA) is accepted at Ahero County Hospital for both Outpatient and Inpatient services.

For smooth service delivery, ensure:
✔️ Your SHA contributions are paid and up to date
✔️ You have added all your dependants

Dependants Registration Guidelines: Children below 18 years – register using a Birth Certificate
Spouse – register using a National ID

Note: Only registered and active members will access services without interruptions.

For more information, kindly visit our Customer Service Desk for assistance. Our team is ready to guide you and ensure you access services smoothly at Ahero County Hospital.

Our free eye screening and cataract surgery outreach at Ahero County Hospital came to an end yesterday.
We sincerely thank all residents who turned up, as well as our dedicated partners Kisumu County Department of Health, Bloom Surgical Centre,for making this initiative a success.

Today, Ahero County Hospital had the pleasure of hosting the Detrex team, who conducted an insightful health education session for our nursing mothers and expectant mothers.

The session focused on the importance of proper handwashing, especially:
✓Before breastfeeding
✓After handling babies
✓During daily caregiving routines

This simple yet powerful practice plays a key role in protecting both mothers and babies from infections.

In addition, the team introduced their range of antibacterial soaps designed for everyday family protection, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining hygiene at home.

To make the day even more special, the mothers received thoughtful gifts, supporting them in practicing proper hygiene.

We appreciate such partnerships that empower our community with knowledge and promote healthier living.

Special Outpatient Clinics (SOPC) Visits Are by Booking

To ensure every patient receives proper attention and quality care, our Special Outpatient Clinics (SOPC) at Ahero County Hospital operate on a booking basis.

This includes:
• Follow-up patients
• Chronic care clinics (e.g. diabetes, hypertension)
• Postnatal mothers, including those after Caesarean Section (CS)
• All specialized consultations

Our clinics are often fully booked, and scheduling helps us:
✔ Reduce waiting time
✔ Offer personalized care
✔ Maintain smooth service flow

Kindly ensure you book in advance and attend on your scheduled date.
