✅️ DYSPNEA
🫁 What is it?
A feeling of difficulty in breathing
or not getting enough air (Shortness of Breath)
🔍 6 P’s OF DYSPNEA
▪️ Pulmonary bronchial constriction(Asthma, COPD)
▪️ Possible foreign body (Aspiration)
▪️ Pulmonary embolus (PE)
▪️ Pneumothorax
▪️ Pump failure (Left heart failure)
▪️ Pneumonia
--⚠️ Danger Signs
• Fast / labored breathing
• Chest pain or tightness
• Bluish lips or fingertips
• Cannot speak full sentences
---👩⚕️ What To Do When One has Dyspnea
• Position the patient upright
• Stay calm
• Loosen tight clothing
• Give oxygen if indicated
• Monitor vital signs
• Refer urgently if severe
💡 CLINICAL ALERT
Dyspnea can be life-threatening
➡️ Do not ignore it
✅️ Assess airway, breathing, circulation (ABC) immediately
