Breathing New Hope: Communities Leading the Way

In Episode Two of the Integrated Program on Asthma, COPD and Tuberculosis (iPACT) documentary, we journey through Murang'a, Nakuru, and Nairobi to witness how communities are driving a new chapter in Kenya's lung health response.

From Community Health Promoters (CHPs) making household visits to healthcare workers delivering integrated care, and community members sharing their stories of hope, this episode reveals how bringing TB, asthma, COPD, and other lung health services closer to people is transforming lives. By empowering communities with knowledge, promoting early screening, and strengthening referral pathways, iPACT is helping ensure that no one is left behind.

These inspiring stories highlight the power of partnership between communities and health systems in reducing stigma, improving early diagnosis, and making quality respiratory care accessible where it matters most—at the community level.

Because healthier communities begin with informed communities, and every breath deserves a chance.
