True stewardship is the ability to take care of something that isn't yours. 🤝

As parents, we are the ultimate link between the generations.

When we view family through this lens, our job description changes. We aren’t just trying to survive the daily chaos; we are actively managing a legacy.

OUR GREATEST ASSIGNMENT AS STEWARDS TO OUR CHILDREN.

⏹️ STEWARDING RIGHTEOUSNESS.
In Genesis 18, instead of allowing his family to be shaped by a corrupt environment, Abraham possessed the conviction and spiritual authority to command his children and household to follow the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just.

True stewardship thrives when it stands in stark contrast to the culture around it. When cultural wickedness reached a breaking point, God singled out Abraham for a critical reason, teaching his children that righteousness and justice are non negotiables.

Are you aligned?

Are you able to command righteousness in your own home through modelling of behaviour?

⏹️ SATURATE YOUR ENVIRONMENT WITH THE LAW OF THE LORD.

How much of reading the word and prayer is done at your home?
-Ensure the Word of God is honoured and served more than you serve food and gifts.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 NKJV, they were to
put Gods command their hearts, teach them, to their children, talk of them when they sit, when you walk by the way, lie down, and rise up. They were to bind them as a sign on their hand and were to use them as frontlets.

⏹️ Pass on Faith.
Judges 3:3
The generation was wicked. Nobody had cultured them properly in the way of the Lord or taught them to hide in God all the way.
As much as you are providing for them, let them know God is our sole Provider.

2 Timothy 1:5 - The sincere faith in Timothy, had been passed down by
his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice.
Pass on Faith and Godly values.

When you parent as a steward:

👉 You trade the exhausting pressure of control for the peace of faithful leadership.
👉 You stop trying to build your own mini-me and help them pursue their destiny.

👉 You raise them with the exit strategy in mind—preparing them for Kingdom business.

Prayer is the sacred invitation into the presence of a holy God.

In the Old Testament, access to Kings was not an easy pass.
Ancient Kings were largely unapproachable, Esther was married to a King, but had no easy access to the husband- Esther 4.

In the Old Testament, not everybody was invited into the presence of God.
Heb 9:6-12, The priest only went into the first part of the Tabernacle, performing the services. But into the second part the High Priest went alone once a year,

Today God extends to us an unlimited access to His presence.

1. PRAYER GIVES US A DIVINE ACCESS TO COMMUNE WITH A HOLY GOD.
Life can be lonely,
Loss can lead to intense isolation
But prayer gives us an opportunity to activate the presence of a Holy God and divinely fellowship with Immanuel, God together with us

2. PRAYER GIVES US GODS HEARING EVEN IN TIMES OF TROUBLE
âś“ Going through a relationships heartbreak? Too ashamed to share your story?
âś“ Totally broken, going through a rough path, your world is totally shattered?
Call on God,
Psalms 50:15 NKJV
[15] Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

Prayer provides a direct line of communication to God, allowing individuals to express their needs, concerns, and gratitude.

PRAYER MAKES GOD OUR PRESENT HELP IN TIMES OF TROUBLE

3. PRAYER GIVES US VICTORY OVER OUR ENEMIES. Psalms 55:17-18,
Psalms 55:16-19 NKJV
[16] As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. [17] Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. [18] He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me. [19] God will hear, and afflict them, Even He who abides from of old. Selah Because they do not change, Therefore they do not fear God.

4. PRAYER GIVES YOU AN OPPORTUINITIES TO MEDIATE BEFORE GOD AND MAN
5. PRAYER GIVES YOU A GATE PASS TO COMMUNE WITH GOD.
