Prep work:
• Set up a love altar with photos of yourself, achievements, and things you love.
• Make the Love Incense – grind musk root, ambroxide, patchouli oil, and rose oil clockwise with a mortar and pestle.
• Burn 1 teaspoon of the incense on charcoal in a censer.
The ritual (step-by-step):
1. Cast your circle (create sacred space).
2. Ground & center – breathe and feel Mother Earth's love fill you.
3. Set your intention – to love yourself, your life, and (if desired) share love with the right person.
4. Call upon a love deity – Mother Earth, Demeter, Hera, or one of your choice.
5. Inner child work – close your eyes, connect with your inner child, tell them you love them. Feel that love flow both ways. Say the affirmation: "I love and care for myself. I'm deserving of love, able to give myself love, able to receive that love."
6. Carve a heart sigil on your pink candle. Hold it to your heart and charge it.
7. Pour a glass of wine (or juice) – toast yourself and drink.
8. Write a love letter to yourself – include everything you value, plus the "gold in the dark" (lessons from your struggles).
9. Dip your thumb in the wine and press your thumbprint onto the letter.
10. Read the letter out loud.
11. Hug yourself, then look in the mirror and see the light in your eyes.
12. Toast yourself out loud and say: "I love myself!"
13. Thank the deity for their blessing.
14. Close your circle.
