Happy Madaraka Day 2026 to all Kenyans, both at home and across the globe.

As we commemorate our nation's attainment of self-governance and celebrate the freedom to shape our own destiny, we are reminded that true independence also calls for intellectual, cultural, and scientific growth.

As a community of young mental health practitioners, we look forward to a future where we not only practice and advance mental health care, but also contribute meaningfully to the development of African Psychology through research, innovation, and investment. A future where African experiences, cultures, values, and indigenous knowledge systems inform the way we understand, treat psychological conditions and promote mental well-being especially among the young people.

May this Madaraka Day inspire us to build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient society; one that values mental health and champions home-grown solutions for African challenges.

Happy Mother's Day 2026 to all mothers.

As a network of young mental health practitioners, we recognize and deeply appreciate the integral role mothers play in shaping a child’s formative years.

Today, we celebrate your selfless love, care, strength, and sacrifice in nurturing and guiding a new generation. Your impact extends far beyond the home settings, you are raising future leaders, dreamers, and changemakers across the world.

Thank you for all that you do. We honor and celebrate you today and always.

Today, we join the world in commemorating International Wellness Day 2026, as we encourage our people to be deliberate about the general well-being.

Wellness is the active, dynamic, conscious pursuit of activities, choices, and lifestyles that lead to holistic health.

Holistic wellness encompasses multiple, interconnected aspects which includes physical, mental, intellectual, emotional, social aspects, spiritual, environmental, occupational domains.

Remember, we can only attain complete wellness if all other aspects of well-being are taken care of.
