These powerful words from a learner at Josam School remind us of the impact of the Resilient Teen Club Program.

Beyond the sessions, we are seeing young people apply the skills they learn in their everyday lives, managing emotions, improving communication, strengthening family relationships, and choosing healthier ways of responding to challenges.

At Teenage Sensitization Community Based Organization, we believe that when young people are given safe spaces, practical skills, and the right support, meaningful transformation is possible.

Every positive change matters. Every improved relationship matters. Every young person who learns to manage their emotions is taking a step towards a healthier and more resilient future.

LESSON TWO FROM THE RESILIENT TEEN CLUB PROGRAM

One important lesson we continue to learn at Josam School is that young people need more safe spaces where they can freely express themselves, seek support, and talk about the challenges they may be silently carrying.

When young people feel safe, heard, and supported without fear of stigma or judgment, they become more willing to open up about their struggles and seek help when they need it.

The Resilient Teen Club provides an environment where young people can have meaningful conversations, access appropriate mental health support, and build the confidence to speak up.

As Teenage Sensitization Community Based Organization, we believe that every young person deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported.

Together, let us create communities where young people do not have to struggle in silence. 💙

Parenting is Personal Growth.

You cannot raise a child without being invited to confront parts of yourself you might otherwise have avoided.

Your patience will be tested. Your need for control will be exposed. Your childhood wounds may surface. Your assumptions about obedience, respect, success and love will be challenged by a child who is becoming a person different from you.

And that is part of the work.

Sometimes the child is not the only one who needs to learn a lesson. The parent needs to learn how to listen without controlling, correct without humiliating, protect without overprotecting, set boundaries without building walls, and let go without interpreting independence as betrayal.

Good parenting asks a parent to keep growing while helping a child grow. Because eventually, your child will outgrow some of the ways you parented them.

The question is whether you will grow with them.
