Being a parent is more than just having a genetic connection to another human being. It's intentionally making choices to cater for your children. It's sacrifice, putting someone other than yourself (always), sleepless nights, bills, hardwork 24/7. It's also smiles, hugs, celebrating every milestone...it's constantly praying over your children. It's showing up when it's uncomfortable... Parenting is beautiful, it's rough, it's a blessing, it's tiresome, and it's twice the work for present single parents and yet the most beautiful job that God ever gave women.
And to single mothers those carrying the load on their own, those who both mother and father their kids regardless of what society throws at you, today you can look back and be hella proud of yourself.

Osinachi Nwachukwua celebrated Nigerian gospel singer( Ekwueme ) died yesterday after being in a coma for five days. It's been alleged that her husband beat and kicked her especially on her chest, leading to her being put on life support. The man was arrested yesterday.

Her friends have described various incidents of domestic abuse that she was undergoing including financial and emotional abuse, she was afraid to leave.

If you’re trying to decide whether to stay or leave an abusive relationship, you may be feeling confused, uncertain, frightened, and torn. Maybe you’re still hoping that your situation will change or you’re afraid of how your partner will react if he discovers that you’re trying to leave. One moment, you may desperately want to get away, and the next, you may want to hang on to the relationship.

Always remember that:

√ You are not to blame for being battered or mistreated.

√ You are not the cause of your partner’s abusive behaviour.

√ You deserve to be treated with respect.

√ You deserve a safe and happy life.
