After almost 3 months of planning. The days are almost here!

Our POCUS TOT training is finally here on 9th and 10th Oct! As we approach these long awaited dates, we find ourselves reflecting on the question:

“How do you ensure 30 clinicians actually walk away with true bedside POCUS confidence, not just a certificate?"

The secret isn't in ‘longer’ and ‘better’ lectures—it's in strict operational design and deliberate practice.

As we prepare to welcome our incoming cohort to our training center at Jade Residency, Kilimani hub on October 9th & 10th, here is a look at the pedagogical engine behind our hands-on practicals:

1. Strict 1:4 Trainer Ratios & Alternating Tracks

To guarantee maximum probe and trainer time, our 30 trainees are split into two groups of 15 alternating daily between OB-POCUS and Comprehensive POCUS. Within those groups, clinicians work in micro-groups of 3 to 4 trainees per trainer. No crowded rooms, no waiting for long for a probe.

1. High-Yield Module Spectrum

From Cardiac, Lung, Abdominal, and Vascular scans to Shock Assessment and Obstetrics—every module is paired with pre-course online theory. This ensures 100% of our physical lab time is spent on live models and hardware (GE, Mindray, SonoScape, Butterfly iQ).

1. Daily Image Records vs. Verified Portfolios

Learning doesn't start and end during the hands-on weekend:

Daily Image Record: Trainees log their daily pre-hands on and post-hands on training ward scan volumes to build consistent scanning practice habits.

Image Portfolio: Trainees submit actual clinical scan images to our portal for 1-on-1 feedback and clearance from expert reviewers.
