So proud to have completed the first ever Masterclass of Global Alumni in Nairobi, Kenya. In my journey of creating a better world for women and girls, I shared my personal story of losing my dignity and being treated as an untouchable when I started my first periods. This community program has strengthened our individual abilities of storytelling for our advocacy work; and for me, as a pediatrician, it helps me to use powerful stories to bring a positive impact on improving child health.

It’s important that we teach children the power of books. Reading is not just about boosting vocabulary and literacy skills. Books introduce kids to new concepts, culture and strengthens their imagination. In this digital age, it is even more so our responsibility to stimulate children to love reading. Invest in books and let your child live possibilities beyond their own life experience. 📚

Today is the International Day of the Girl and the theme for this year goes – “Digital generation. Our generation.”
Do you know that there is gender inequality in global internet usage? Do you know girls are less likely than boys to use and own devices and more likely to be cut off from connectivity?
While the pandemic has accelerated digital platforms, with such glaring discrepancy how do we expect equity in tech-related skills and jobs even for later generations?!! Only by addressing the inequity and exclusion that span geographies and generations can we usher in a digital revolution for all, with all.
