is men's mental health Month a time to shine a light on the often unseen struggles men face. Statistics show that 1 in 8 men experience a mental health condition, yet many continue to suffer in silence. Men also account for about 75% of su***de deaths in many countries, while 64% report high levels of stress, and nearly 1 in 4 are at risk of moderate to severe depression. Even with these challenges, around 67% of men do not seek professional mental health support when they need it.

At TwaAssist Kenya, we recognize that behind these numbers are fathers, sons, brothers, and friends who deserve understanding, support, and care.

This month, let’s break the silence, check in on the men around us, and encourage open conversations that lead to healing and hope.

We live in a fast-paced world where rest is often neglected. Intentional rest is sometimes labeled as laziness, but that is not what we are advocating for. Hard work is important, but so is finding balance and making time to rest after a long day.

The world is already stressful enough; there is no need to bring every meeting, deadline, traffic jam, and WhatsApp message home with you. Your spouse is not your stress bin, and your children did not sign up to be your customer care department!

When you get home, give yourself permission to rest. Sit down, breathe, laugh, take a walk, enjoy a meal, or simply do nothing for a few moments. Remember, even your phone needs charging—yet somehow many of us think we can run on 2% battery forever.

Rest is not laziness; it is maintenance. A well-rested person is often more productive, more patient, and much nicer to live with. So after a long day, take some time to recharge before life forces a reboot of its own! 😄

Over the last 7 weeks, we have walked together with these two amazing ladies through a journey of healing, learning, and unlearning. Today, they graduate, not from school, but from a season of growth, resilience, and discovering practical skills for healing and wellbeing through nature.

We celebrate the courage, strength, and commitment they have shown throughout this journey. May the lessons learned continue to guide them as they step into a more meaningful and impactful journey ahead.

We wish them all the very best.

Our sessions are customized to meet individual unique needs with the support of a specialized mental health professional. For personal mental health coaching sessions, call or WhatsApp us on 0110 465839

Yesterday, we had a powerful time connecting and sharing knowledge with a group of young men.
We explored self-awareness—understanding who they are, what drives them, and how to make intentional choices.

We also had honest conversations about balancing sports and school, and how discipline in both shapes character and future opportunities.

Most importantly, we spoke about purpose helping them see that their lives have direction, meaning, and impact beyond the present moment.

It’s always inspiring to walk alongside young men as they grow, reflect, and step into their potential.
