Is Your Child's Immunization Schedule Up to Date?
Between school runs, work, and everyday life, it's easy to lose track of a vaccine date here and there. ππΆ But under Kenya's KEPI (Kenya Expanded Programme on Immunization) schedule, timing matters β each vaccine is scheduled to protect your child exactly when they're most vulnerable.
Quick KEPI schedule recap:
π©Ή Birth β BCG (TB) & OPV0 (polio)
π 6, 10 & 14 weeks β Pentavalent (DPT-HepB-Hib), OPV, PCV & Rotavirus
π©Ή 6 months β Vitamin A supplementation
π 9 months β Measles-Rubella (MR1) & Yellow Fever (in select regions)
π 18 months β MR2 booster
All KEPI vaccines are free at public and most private facilities β cost is never a reason to fall behind.
If a dose was missed or delayed, don't skip it altogether β a catch-up schedule can safely get your child back on track. Bring their vaccination card at your next visit and we'll check where they stand.
