Shared with Soloh's full permission🙏

Today, Soloh celebrates 1,390 days sober from alcohol.

That's not just 3.8 years.

That's 1,390 mornings of choosing recovery. 1,390 days of fighting cravings, emotions, and old habits.

1,390 opportunities to give up that he did not take.

Recovery is not about being perfect. It is about getting back up, one day at a time.

To the person struggling with alcohol today, please hear this:
The man who is sober for years is not necessarily stronger than you. He simply kept choosing the next right step, one day after another.

Your story is not over. Your relapse does not have to be your ending. Your mistakes do not cancel your future.

If you are breathing, there is still hope. If you are willing, recovery is possible. If Soloh can reach 1,390 days, your Day 1 can become Day 30, Day 100, and one day, years of freedom.

Keep going. One day at a time.

Congratulations, Soloh. Your journey is proof that recovery works when we refuse to quit. 🙏❤️

Nothing gives me more joy than meeting people in recovery from all races.
It shows that addiction doesnt care about who you are.

On the other hand,God doesnt care who you are too,He is willing to tranform us.

Justin is an example of how God tranforms a man.

One day at a time
If you hang in the barbers chair long enough eventually you will get a haircut.

Ever wondered why some people take alcohol and are still able to live life normally, while some people seem to have that "curse" when it comes to alcohol

On this video today, i adress one of the reasons for this. The phenomenon of allergy and craving

Many times we pray to God to take away the addiction and God answers that prayer through a process.

He starts to teach you surrender, humility, the fears that have been ruling you, the dishonesty you have been having towards yourself and others, the approval seeking etc

Many of us think that God has deserted but it is in this process that He is making us into people who no longer needs to act out to escape from ourselves.

Hang in there,
If you hang in the barbers chair long enough, eventually you will get a haircut🙏🙏

Today I had the privilege of sharing at Karura Chapel Youth Church.

One of the biggest lessons I am learning in this season is something I recently came across in recovery literature:

"My dependency meant demand."

For a long time I thought I simply needed encouragement, guidance, approval, love, and reassurance from people. What I am beginning to discover is that I was often demanding from people what no human being can perfectly give.

I wanted perfect approval.
Perfect security.
Perfect reassurance.
Perfect love.

And whenever people could not provide those things, I felt hurt, rejected, abandoned, or discouraged.

This season has been painful, but it has also been eye-opening.

God is teaching me that people can love me, support me, guide me, and walk with me, but they cannot be my foundation.

I am learning to surrender my demands, trust God more deeply, and take recovery one day at a time.

Growth is not perfection.
Growth is continuing to show up, continuing to learn, and continuing to surrender.

Grateful for the opportunity to share and for everything God is teaching me in this season.
