Triggers are not flaws to fix; they’re messages from parts of us still seeking safety. When we meet them with curiosity instead of shame, we begin the real work of healing.
Our nervous system holds memory just as our mind does and when it reacts, it’s not misbehaving; it’s remembering. By asking, “Is this about now or then?”, we interrupt the automatic replay of old pain and create space for conscious response.
Emotional maturity isn’t about never being triggered ,it’s about recognizing what our triggers reveal and responding with compassion instead of defense.

Healing begins the moment we stop judging our reactions and start listening to what they’re trying to teach us..

How Physiology of Grief Looks Like ???

Have you ever wondered why grief feels so physically overwhelming?

Why does loss bring a wave of fatigue, pain, or even illness?

Grief is not just an emotional experience; it's deeply physical too. Few things which happens in our bodies when we grieve.

➥ Stress Response: Grief activates the body's stress response. Our heart rate increases, and stress hormones like cortisol flood our system. This can lead to a constant state of tension and exhaustion.

➥ Immune System: Chronic grief can weaken the immune system. This makes us more susceptible to infections and illnesses. Ever noticed how you might catch a cold more easily during times of loss?

➥ Sleep Disruption: Grief often disrupts sleep. Insomnia or restless sleep is common, further draining our energy and impacting our mental clarity.

➥ Physical Pain: Grief can manifest as physical pain. Headaches, chest pain, or even digestive issues can occur. It's the body’s way of expressing what words sometimes cannot.

➥ Appetite Changes: Some people lose their appetite, while others might find comfort in food. Both are natural responses, but they can lead to weight loss or gain if they become prolonged.

So, how can we care for ourselves when grief takes a toll on our bodies?

✔️Listen to Your Body: Rest when you need to, and don’t push yourself too hard. Grieving is exhausting work.

✔️Seek Support: Whether it’s talking to a friend or seeing a therapist, sharing your burden can lighten the load.

✔️Stay Hydrated and Nourished: Even if food doesn’t seem appealing, try to eat small, nutritious meals. Hydration is crucial too.

Grief is a natural response to loss, but it’s important to recognize how it affects our entire being.

Taking care of your body is just as important as caring for your mind during these tough times.

Let’s normalize these conversations and support each other through the process.
