This is feedback from one of the patients treated at our free medical camp for the deaf community.

For many in the deaf community, accessing healthcare often means struggling to be heard, misunderstood symptoms, or relying on others to speak on their behalf.

But when healthcare providers understand sign language, everything changes.

This interview is a reminder that communication is not a luxury in healthcare it is a necessity.
At DEAFHEALTH, we are working towards a future where no patient is left out of their own care.

Things to know about deaf

1. Sign language isn't universal. Each country has its own language, e.g Kenya Sign Language(KSL), American Sign Language(ASL), British Sign Language (BSL)

2. Deaf people feel music through vibrations

3. Not everyone uses implants or hearing aids. It depends on someone's preference and the extent of cochlea damage

4. Don't use the term 'Deaf and dumb' to address a Deaf person it's rude and insulting. Please address them as Deaf
