“Ever feel like you’re trying to control everything… and nothing works? What if the secret isn’t control… but letting go?”

“Mel Robbins calls it the Let Them Theory: people, opportunities, circumstances they move freely. And the more we fight that flow, the more stress we carry.

In Kenya, we say, Haba na haba hujaza kibaba, small, patient efforts grow over time. Focus on what you can influence, like your own journey, your own shamba. Don’t waste energy forcing others or outcomes.

Courage is taking steps, even when conditions aren’t perfect. Life isn’t perfect… but progress is always possible. Let go of judgment, embrace imperfection, and watch freedom, focus, and growth fill your life.”

“Stop controlling. Start flowing. Let them… and see how your life changes. ✨

Atomic Habits (The Version You’ll Actually Read)

Inspired by James Clear. Crafted by Talk to Ellyn

Most people try to change their whole life in one giant jump… then give up by Wednesday.
The truth is quieter: tiny habits beat huge plans every single time.

Here’s the cheat code:

I. Make it obvious

If you can’t see it, you won’t do it.
Set clear cues. Rearrange your space. Interrupt autopilot.

II. Make it attractive

You repeat what feels good.
Pair the habit with something you enjoy.
Turn routine into a moment you look forward to.

III. Make it easy

Don’t start with Mount Kenya energy.
Start with one small step you can’t fail.
Small steps → momentum → consistency.

IV. Make it satisfying

Your brain loves a small win.
Track progress. Celebrate the tiny victory.
That “I did it” feeling is fuel.

The real magic?

Your habits are votes for who you become.
Show up in small ways long enough…
and one day you wake up as the person you’ve been trying to be.

Start small. Stay steady. Transform quietly.

🌿 The Silent Places of a Wise Life

1. Personal Motives and Inner Intentions
Your inner motives shape your decisions. Protecting them reduces interference and confusion.
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." (Proverbs 4:23)

2. Private Spiritual or Reflective Practices
Whether you practice meditation, reflection, mindfulness, or prayer, your inner life grows best in quiet spaces.
"When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen." (Matthew 6:6)

3. Quiet Acts of Kindness and Goodwill
Kindness carries its deepest value when done without seeking applause.
"Do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing." (Matthew 6:3)

4. Financial Decisions and Personal Resources

Finances are personal. Privacy supports wise decisions and protects against unnecessary opinions or pressures.

"The prudent keep their knowledge to themselves." (Proverbs 12:23)

5. Family Conflicts and Sensitive Internal Matters
Family challenges should be handled with care in safe spaces, not in public arenas.

"Love covers over a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:8)

Matatu Madness

Imagine waking up at the crack of dawn in Nairobi, the sun rising over the city like a lazy cat stretching its paws. You're on your way to work, packed in a matatu that's seen better days. The soundtrack? A symphony of snores, with the occasional "matatu matatu" thrown in for good measure. You're squished between a vendor selling miraa and a guy who's been up all night playing PlayStation. Beba, this is crazy!

As you ride to work, you notice the matatu is getting crowded. Suddenly, taut?/ makanga shouts "Shukisha!" and the driver slams on the brakes. You hold on tight, hoping you won't get hurt.

Meet Kimani, a young professional who's mastered the art of navigating the chaos. He's been practicing mindfulness and has learned to focus on his breath, notice the sounds around him, and let go of his worries.

Monday Morning Mindfulness Routine:

1. Take a few deep breaths, and try to stay calm amidst the chaos.
2. Notice your surroundings, and appreciate the unique experience.
3. Focus on the present moment, and try not to think about the meeting at 10 am.
4. Let go of your worries, and enjoy the ride.

Everything's is spiritual. Life is spiritual. The devil will concocte lies so that you'll believe lies in order to live oblivious of the spiritual principles.
Rich/wealthy people live by the principles of wealth, healthier marriages live by the principles of marriages and so is every dimension you are in of life.
It also depends on who you believe in. Is it YAWEH eg Jesus, Holy Spirit OR the devil ie. witchcraft, vodooism, idols, etc...
I choose YAWEH anytime, and i am a student all through.
