Maybe you're crying for no reason. Maybe you feel numb. Maybe you're terrified something bad will happen and you can't explain why.

That's not "just hormones." That's not weakness. That might be postpartum depression or anxiety and it's more common than anyone tells you.

You planned for everything.
The feeds. The schedules. The sleepless nights.
But nobody told you that in the middle of all of it you might lose yourself.
If you just swiped through this and felt seen that feeling is your sign.
You don't have to keep waiting to feel like you again.

The baby blues are normal in the first 1–2 weeks after birth. But when does it become something more?
Here are 5 signs it may be time to reach out for support:
1. It isn't getting better after 2 weeks
Persistent sadness, emptiness, or feeling "nothing" that isn't lifting is a signal worth taking seriously.
2. You're having intrusive or scary thoughts
Thoughts about harming yourself or your baby even if you'd never act on them are a common symptom of postpartum OCD and depression. You are not a bad mother for having them. But please tell someone.
3. You feel completely disconnected from your baby
Struggling to bond is more common than you think. It does not mean you don't love them. It means you need support.
4. Anxiety that won't switch off
Racing heart, constant worry, feeling like something terrible is about to happen postpartum anxiety is just as real as PPD and just as treatable.
5. You're not taking care of yourself at all
Not eating. Not sleeping even when the baby sleeps. Isolating from everyone. These matter.
📌 If you recognize yourself in any of these, please reach out to a trusted person, a doctor, or a mental health professional. Call us 0740904042
You don't have to be at rock bottom to deserve help.
