On 27th July 2026, we organized a vibrant and impactful Career Exploration Fair at St. Francis Rang'ala Girls' National School, bringing together learners and institutions of higher learning to inspire informed career choices and prepare students for the opportunities of tomorrow.

The fair provided students with a unique platform to engage directly with universities, colleges, professional bodies, and industry experts, gaining valuable insights into emerging careers, academic pathways, scholarships, professional qualifications, and the future world of work.

Throughout the day, learners participated in interactive exhibitions, career talks, one-on-one guidance sessions, and practical discussions designed to help them discover their interests, align their strengths with career opportunities, and make informed decisions about life after secondary school.

The enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful questions from the students reflected a generation that is eager to learn, innovate, and make a meaningful impact in society. Seeing young minds explore possibilities with confidence reaffirmed our commitment to ensuring that every learner has access to quality career information and mentorship.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Chief Principal, the Head of Careers, teachers, our partner institutions, exhibitors, guest speakers, and everyone who contributed to the success of this memorable event. Your collaboration made the fair an enriching experience for every learner.

Day 2 focused on building on the strong foundation established on Day 1, participants immersed themselves in practical counselling skills, role plays, ethical decision-making, case discussions, crisis response, problem-solving, referral pathways, and promoting safe and supportive school culture. These interactive sessions enabled the learners to apply what they had learned in realistic situations while strengthening their confidence, teamwork, and communication skills.

Throughout the training, one thing stood outโ€”the passion and commitment of these young leaders to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their peers. They demonstrated empathy, maturity, and a genuine desire to foster a school culture where every learner feels heard, valued, and supported.

As we brought the workshop to a close, we celebrated more than the completion of a training programme. We celebrated the beginning of a lifelong journey of service, leadership, and positive influence. These 160 peer counselors are now equipped to listen without judgment, lead with integrity, identify learners in need, and connect them to the right support systems.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Chief Principal, the school administration, the Guidance and Counselling Department, and the entire Lwak Girls' High School community for their partnership and commitment to promoting student wellbeing. Together, we are creating schools where leadership is rooted in compassion and every learner has someone they can turn to.

The training may have ended, but its impact will continue to ripple through every conversation, every act of kindness, and every life these peer counselors touch.

Last weekend, on 25th July 2026, we officially kicked off a two-day Peer Counselors Training with 160 peer counselors from Lwak Girls' High School, a significant step towards strengthening student leadership, mental wellness, and peer support within the school.

Day One focused on building a strong foundation by exploring the role and responsibilities of a peer counselor while equipping learners with essential competencies including active listening, effective communication, empathy, self-awareness, integrity, ethical conduct, and confidentiality.

Through interactive discussions, group activities, reflective exercises, and practical learning experiences, the students gained valuable skills to become trusted listeners, compassionate leaders, and responsible sources of support for their fellow learners.

The enthusiasm, openness, and commitment displayed by these young leaders were truly inspiring. Their willingness to learn and serve reminds us that when students are empowered with the right knowledge and skills, they become catalysts for healthier, safer, and more supportive school communities.

This is more than a training; it is an investment in a culture where learners look out for one another, lead with empathy, and contribute to positive change.

It was deeply inspiring to witness these girls embrace their responsibilities with passion, courage, and compassion. Their enthusiasm reaffirmed our belief that when students are empowered to support one another, schools become safer, healthier, and more nurturing environments for learning and personal growth.

Throughout the training, we challenged the peer counselors to become trusted listeners, responsible leaders, and ambassadors of kindness and emotional wellbeing. By investing in one student leader, we create a ripple effect that positively influences an entire school community.

We mentored over 1,000 students at St. Monica Chakol Girls' High School, engaging learners from Grade 10 through the candidate classes in a powerful and transformative mentorship session.

The session focused on self-awareness and personal responsibility, encouraging students to discover their strengths, embrace their values, make wise choices, and take ownership of their academic journey, personal growth, and future aspirations.

Through meaningful conversations, practical reflections, and real-life examples, we challenged the learners to rise above limitations, believe in their potential, and pursue excellence with discipline, resilience, and confidence. True success begins when we accept responsibility for our choices and commit ourselves to continuous growth.

The enthusiasm, attentiveness, and eagerness to learn displayed by these remarkable girls was truly inspiring. Their passion and determination give us great hope for the future.

We facilitated an Emotional Support and Psychological First Aid Session at St. Paul's Igonga Boys Senior School, engaging learners from Grade 10 through Form Four in separate, age-appropriate sessions designed to address their unique experiences, challenges, and developmental needs.

The sessions provided a platform for honest conversations about emotional wellbeing, stress management, resilience, healthy coping strategies, self-awareness, and personal growth. It was encouraging to witness the openness, courage, and willingness of the students to reflect, share, and support one another.

In times of uncertainty and increasing pressure on young people, creating safe and supportive spaces is more important than ever. Emotional support is not a one-time intervention; it is an investment in healthier minds, stronger relationships, better learning outcomes, and brighter futures.

It was truly inspiring to witness the learners' enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and commitment to becoming positive influencers within their school community.
