Shika Ngoma is a music download service set up to benefit all artists in Kenya, in creating a platform for them to sell and market their music through the mobile platform and on the Internet. SHIKA NGOMA is project initiated by the MCSK Foundation as part of its mandate in improving the livelihoods of the artists. Honorable Raila was speaking on Monday evening during an event to officially unveil a joint medical insurance scheme for musicians by three collective management organisations, namely the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK), Performer’s Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) and Kenya Association of Music Producers. The event doubled up as a launch for SHIKA NGOMA music download service and MAMTAG (MCSK Annual Music Talent Awards Gala 2016). He donated Sh100,000 in cash.
