All successful applicants are required to log in to their portals and download the:
1. Internship Posting Letter
2. Internship Logbook

Interns should print two copies of the posting letter. One copy is retained at the internship station, and the other submitted to the Council at the end of the internship. Each intern must also download their logbook containing unique QR codes.

The Public Health Officers and Technicians Council (PHOTC) conducted an ICT Systems Consolidation and Capacity Building Workshop in Machakos aimed at strengthening the Council's digital systems and enhancing service delivery.

The workshop brought together the PHOTC Secretariat, ICT staff and technical resource persons from key government agencies, including e-Citizen, the National Treasury and the Ministry of Health ICT Directorate.

The programme covered ICT systems administration and governance, e-Citizen platform integration and digital payments, training on the Regulatory Human Resource Information System (RHRIS) and the Online Services Portal (OSP), as well as cybersecurity and data protection.

The workshop forms part of PHOTC's ongoing efforts to strengthen digital service delivery, improve operational efficiency, enhance data security, and build institutional capacity to support its regulatory mandate.

PHOTC conducted an accreditation inspection of the Bachelor of Science in Public Health programme at Great Lakes University of Kisumu as part of its mandate to regulate public health training in Kenya.

The inspection assessed compliance with the Council's training and accreditation standards through a comprehensive review of programme documentation, academic resources, teaching and learning facilities, governance structures, and practical training infrastructure.

Following the assessment, the Council presented its preliminary findings and recommendations to the University to support continuous quality improvement and strengthen the delivery of competency-based public health education.

The exercise brought together the PHOTC Secretariat and moderators from Public Health Training Institutions to review examination papers and marking schemes for certificate, diploma and degree levels, ensuring fairness, quality and alignment with curriculum and examination guidelines.

PHOTC remains committed to upholding professionalism, integrity and excellence in the training and licensing of Public Health professionals in Kenya.

During the exercise, the inspection team reviewed institutional documentation, engaged key stakeholders, and assessed the University's infrastructure and training facilities against PHOTC accreditation standards. The assessment noted significant progress in compliance with critical requirements.

The Council has provided the institution with its findings and recommendations to support continuous quality improvement in public health education.

The Public Health Officers and Technicians Council (PHOTC) wishes to inform all eligible candidates, training institutions and stakeholders that it will conduct the August 2026 Professional Examination Series.

The examination application portal shall be open from 21st June 2026 to 20th July 2026. The Council shall, in due course, communicate the exact examination dates through official notices and established communication channels. Candidates are advised to regularly check for updates and to strictly adhere to all timelines that will be provided.

Eligibility for Registration:
Registration for the Professional Examinations shall be open to:
โ€ข Candidates who have successfully completed the prescribed training programme in an institution accredited by PHOTC
โ€ข Candidates who have been duly indexed by the Council
โ€ข Candidates who have fulfilled all examination registration requirements and paid the prescribed examination fees

Application Period: 7th June 2026 โ€“ 24th June 2026

Application Procedure
1. Log in to your portal via osp.photc.org.
2. On the dashboard, click "Internship" and then select "Internship Application."
3. Complete the application form by providing all the required information.
4. Select two (2) internship centres from the dropdown menu, with Option One being your most preferred centre.
5. Upload proof of valid medical insurance cover (SHA or any other recognized insurance cover).
6. Proceed to make the required payment through eCitizen.
7. Share the payment confirmation message and your ID Number via WhatsApp to 020 239 8649 for payment verification and reconciliation purposes.
