Waiting to set off and thinking back on everything that got me to the beginning of this trip 😯. Four years ago I started my own nutrition business, with various jobs and contracts, clients and companies 💻 all whilst adding on my PT qualifications 3 years ago and an MSc in 2018 📚. I’m taking a moment to reflect on how much I’ve achieved.. but on the losses too. Sometimes it can feel like we aren’t moving forward, stuck as the rest of the world speeds past us, so don’t forget to remind yourself that you are on your own path, where you are now is exactly where you should be, keep faith that everything will always work out in the end 💛. For me, the idea to travel stemmed from me wanting to volunteer abroad, acknowledging the privileges that I have: health, safety, a home, family, income - some simply because of the country I was born in 🙏🏼 It’s so important to me that I am able to use these privileges to give back and help others, all with a clear focus on the end goal. Sure I’ll be doing some selfish travel too.. afterall, that’s what your 20’s are for, right? But first stop, Cambodia ✈️ teaching English and life skills to ages 3-20 and I can’t bloody wait. I am sure that I will learn more from them than they can ever learn from me. The toothbrushes etc are kind donations from friends and family members which will be greatly appreciated by the school (staying in true healthcare fashion and helping with dental care with a huge percentage of the population suffering from very poor oral health (a risk factor of various health problems and diseases)). I have no idea what to expect in the next few weeks, months or year, but I sure as hell know it’s going to make me grow 🌳in gratitude, knowledge and emotional strength all whilst giving me an insight of the different health approaches in different countries 🥰🤩🤗. @ Heathrow Terminal 2
