C3 Celebrates International

Children’s Rights Day

The C3 orphans of BILEG celebrates with the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kampong
Thom, Cambodia) as they commemorate the 65th International Children’s Rights Anniver-
sary and the 13th year Anniversary of Anti-Child Labor. The gathering was held in Kampong
Thom on June 12, 2014.

The program was organized to reinforce children’s rights namely: (1) right to live;
(2) right for protection; (3) right for education; and (4) right to participate.

Twelve schools were invited to join the event. The program consists of special dance
numbers from other schools, speeches from guests and Excellencies, and Q&A portion.
Snacks were provided for the students and guests. School supplies (bags, pens, pencils,
notebooks, and rulers) were given to the student participants at the end of the program.
