In these times, the work we do as practitioners, caregivers, and space-holders asks more of us than ever before.
More presence. More resilience. More heart.
And somewhere in all of that… we can forget that we, too, need support.

The Art of Being Human was created from this place.
Not just as a training, but as a space to return to yourself.

A space to regulate your nervous system in difficult times.
To explore grief and forgiveness with care.
To reconnect with your creative source.
To deepen your practice while being deeply held in community.

Because you were never meant to carry this alone.

You are warmly invited to join us for this journey.
✨ 7 CPD trainings over 3 months (courses are 2x3hour blocks)
✨ Join the full series or follow what calls you

Loved the Kindness Challenge?
This is where it deepens.

The Art of Being Human is a 7-part CPD training series for practitioners who want to hold space with more clarity, care, and sustainability.

You don’t need to have joined the challenge to be here—just a willingness to go deeper.

If you’re supporting others, this work matters.

Ready to take the next step?

Sometimes, the most powerful kindness… is the one we offer ourselves.

“The Kindness Challenge made me question myself, take a pause and look through what’s going on with my life. I realised I don’t have to carry other people’s baggage—especially if it is affecting me negatively. I can find more kindness and love for myself.”

This is what this journey gently opens up.
A moment to pause. To reflect. To come back to yourself.

You are allowed to put things down.
You are allowed to choose yourself.
You are allowed to soften—and still be strong.

And in that space… something shifts.

If you feel called to begin, you can still join the Kindness Challenge for free until midnight Sunday (GMT).

On this International Earth Day,
We witness the voyagers who drifted
Into the unknown, black darkness,
Watching the Earth rise and set
From the silent threshold of the Moon.
In that free-fall float, their hearts learning
The scale of their own smallness and its infinite reach.
I stand here in Wales to take stock,
To recognize the profound, precious beauty
Of this fragile blue pearl suspended in the void.
There is a 'hiraeth' that sings in my bones
The ancient, Welsh longing for a home
That is both beneath my feet and just beyond my touch.
It is the ache of the land calling to the soul,
Reminding us that we do not merely inhabit the earth;
We are of it.
I was talking with a colleague today we discussed how we both carry collective grief in our hearts
For every hurt and injury we have dealt
To the earth, the oceans and to each other.
In the midst of everything that is happening,
This feels like a time of remembering.
To recall where we are and who we are—
Not exiles in a cold universe,
But kin, woven into the same breathing sacred geometry of life.
May we trust the slow, subterranean wisdom
That even the most impossible wounds
Can be repaired and healed.
Even if it takes generations.
For we belong together,
Held in the gravity of a love
That will not let us fall.

The Blue Pearl Institute for Nature-Inspired Expressive Arts: Therapy and Leadership UK / Cambodia

Why the name Blue Pearl?

A pearl begins as a wound.
Such a powerful metaphor for us as we go through suffering.
What we resist, what feels uncomfortable, what we wish was not there, can become something transformed.

The Blue Pearl is a reminder that there is light within you and we share one fragile, beautiful home.

This is a remembering of who we are and where we are.

And what happens when we come together in community, immersed in nature, the arts, healing, and heart-centered leadership.

If this speaks to you, if you feel called to support or be part of what we are building, click the link to find out how.

Join us online for Hope Rising, 8th-11th April 2026 🙏 Registration is open. See the link in the comment below.

Hope Rising is an open, global invitation to gather through the arts at a time of profound uncertainty. Rather than centering on what is broken, the Spring Symposium orients itself toward what sustains us as a collective international community: creativity, imagination, relational presence, and beauty as an ethical practice.

Through shared art-making, dialogue, and aesthetic response, we cultivate inner and collective resources that support well-being, resilience, and socially responsive action.
Rooted in the philosophy, principles and practices of the Expressive Arts, the symposium invites participants from around the world - artists, therapists, educators, researchers, and community practitioners- to engage in intermodal processes that honor our differences, encourage listening to each other, and foster connection & networking.

Hope Rising understands hope not as a denial of our realities but as an active, embodied, and relational practice that emerges when we create together with care and aesthetic responsibility.
