🌸Healthcare Support Activities on June 9, 2026☺️
Angkor Japan Friendship International Hospital continued energetic activities on the second day of the medical volunteer program in collaboration with a team of Japanese dental and medicine, providing healthcare support to 143 students at Khvien Primary and Secondary School. This program included dental examinations and treatment, oral hygiene education, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) examinations, and General musculoskeletal examination and Pediatric scoliosis screening.

🌟This activity has been ongoing since 2018, and since 2024, even more Japanese medical teams have joined, expanding its scope. ANGKOR JAPAN FRIENDSHIP INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL will continue to strengthen its collaboration with the Japanese team to contribute to healthcare and society in Cambodia and Siem Reap.

Angkor Japan Friendship International Hospital was honored to collaborate with a team of Japanese doctors and dentists in providing healthcare services to students at Butterfly Paradise Orphanage and Paradise Center.
The services included dental examinations and treatment, oral hygiene education, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) examinations, as well as General musculoskeletal examination and pediatric scoliosis screening.

During this activity, a total of 225 students received health check-ups, including 46 students from other provinces and 179 students from Siem Reap Province. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Japanese doctors and dentists, the orphanage staff, and all participating students for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the smooth implementation and meaningful success of this activity.

🇯🇵Japanese Ophthalmologist's Activities in June 2026🏥
Dr. KATO HIROAKI, an ophthalmologist, will be visiting Cambodia again this June. His activities will include cataract surgery, general eye examinations, and community service activities.

In particular, our hospital has been diligently working with Dr. KATO for over 2 years on the early detection of amblyopia in children. Although the period is limited, our hospital will continue to collaborate with him to contribute to healthcare in Cambodia and Siem Reap.

【June 8, 2026 Angkor University】
Dr. Saito Wataru of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Kitasato University Medical Center, delivered a lecture on "Childhood Scoliosis" to nursing students at Angkor University.

This lecture provided comprehensive knowledge about childhood scoliosis, which is common in adolescent girls, including its causes, understanding of the disease, screening, and treatment. It was a highly valuable lecture that also suggested the role of healthcare professionals, including nurses, in Cambodia.
