Mine Authority, Exceed Worldwide Expand Rehab Services for Disabled in Public Hospitals

Phnom Penh, 19 February 2026 – The Mine Authority and Exceed Worldwide have agreed to strengthen their partnership to expand physical rehabilitation services for people with disabilities, particularly those affected by landmines and unexploded ordnance, across Cambodia’s public hospitals.

During a meeting at the Mine Authority headquarters, Carson Harte, Executive Director of Exceed Worldwide, discussed plans with Dr. Ly Thuch, First Deputy of the Mine Authority, to broaden hospital-based rehabilitation programs. The initiative aims to improve care for affected individuals while seeking continued support from relevant government ministries.

Exceed Worldwide currently manages rehabilitation centers in Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang, and Preah Sihanouk provinces, providing essential services, community support, vocational training, and skills development for vulnerable populations.

Dr. Ly Thuch commended Exceed Worldwide for its active role in supporting people with disabilities and helping them create self-employment opportunities. He stressed that, despite Cambodia’s progress in mine clearance, supporting survivors remains a top priority, requiring continued collaboration with international partners.

The expansion plan will allow more public hospitals to deliver rehabilitation services, offering hope and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities nationwide.
