Filler vs. Botox — What’s the Difference?
Fillers and Botox are both popular aesthetic treatments, but they work in different ways and are used for different concerns.
✨ Fillers help restore lost volume, improve facial contours, soften certain wrinkles, and correct areas of hollowness. Hyaluronic acid is one of the most commonly used ingredients in dermal fillers.
✨ Botox works by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles, helping to soften dynamic wrinkles caused by facial expressions. Its active ingredient is botulinum toxin.
Simply put: fillers restore volume and enhance contours, while Botox relaxes muscles and reduces expression lines.
Can They Be Combined?
Yes. In some cases, fillers and Botox can be used as part of the same treatment plan. Because they work in different ways, combining them can help address multiple concerns and create a more balanced, natural-looking result.
At SHE’S Plastic Surgery Clinic, we use carefully selected, trusted products and tailor each treatment plan to the patient’s individual needs following a consultation with our doctor.
