Prof. Reuben H. Kim, Professor and Chair of the Division of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at UCLA School of Dentistry, is a global authority on medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ), leading pioneering research in this field.

👉 MRONJ is a serious complication associated with antiresorptive agents such as bisphosphonates and denosumab. While tooth extraction is a well-known risk factor, increasing evidence points to pre-existing periapical inflammation as a critical trigger.

In this lecture, he will address the diagnostic challenges of endodontic lesions in ARA users, where suppressed bone turnover can mask typical radiographic findings.
