Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital held the "2026 Summer Middle East Trainee Graduation Ceremony" on August 11th, celebrating the successful completion of the fellowship program for five Saudi Arabian trainees.
The ceremony was attended by key representatives, including Dr. Ji Youl Lee, President of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and Mr. Majed AlEissa, First Secretary and Head of the Economic Department at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Korea.
During the ceremony, representatives from both sides reflected on the longstanding medical exchange and cooperation between South Korea and Saudi Arabia and expressed their appreciation for the strong partnership built over the years. They also reaffirmed their shared commitment to continuing and further strengthening cooperation in medical training and healthcare exchange between the two countries.
Five Saudi Arabian trainees—Dr. Lina Alsufyani (Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology), Dr. Salman Ali (Division of Colorectal Surgery, Department of General Surgery), Dr. Radeif Shamakhi (Department of Otorhinolaryngology), Dr. Anas Aljehani (Department of Urology), and Dr. Ahmed Bayazeed (Division of Stomach Surgery, Department of General Surgery)—presented their graduation speeches, sharing their clinical accomplishments and training experiences gained at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital.
